We have five stores in two locations. Three of our stores are located in American Fork, serving the mid to northern end of Utah County. In 2015 Doug opened two additional stores in Spanish Fork to serve the mid to southern end of Utah County. We proudly offer these great brands:

All of our stores have knowledgeable finance managers to guide you through the options available. We’ll explain the manufacturer incentives as well as the benefits of leasing or financing to find the best solution for your needs and budget.
Once you’ve purchased a new vehicle from any of our Doug Smith stores, you get the Doug Smith 2-Year No Charge Maintenance program, with free oil changes, tire rotations, and more. Our service departments and maintenance technicians are specifically trained on each of the brands they service, ensuring that your service work is done right the first time and every time. We use certified OEM parts for all of our service repairs.
In addition to the large inventory of new vehicles, both of the Doug Smith locations in American Fork and Spanish Fork offer a full selection of used vehicles and certified pre-owned vehicles.
The History of Doug Smith Stores
1979: The Opening of Doug Smith Chrysler Plymouth
In 1979, Doug Smith opened his first store in Bountiful, Utah. This location provided sales, service, and parts for the Chrysler and Plymouth brands. With a quality group of employees and a loyal customer following this location earned several honors and awards from the Chrysler corporation for sales and customer satisfaction.
1989: Doug Smith Chrysler Plymouth Orem
In 1989, Doug Smith opened a second location in Orem, Utah. This location also provided sales, service, and parts for the Chrysler and Plymouth brands. Using the same philosophy, Doug brought his unique automotive experience to the Utah County area.
1992: Doug Smith Mazda
In 1992, Doug opened a third location offering the Mazda brand in Provo, Utah. Doug eventually Sold the Mazda Franchise to the Utah Auto Collection.
1997: Doug Smith Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram
In 1997 with mixed emotions and in order to assist the Chrysler Corporation’s plan (Consolidation of all Chrysler and Jeep branded dealerships) Doug relocated all of his stores into a brand-new facility in American Fork, Utah. In the process, Doug acquired the Ram, Jeep, and Dodge brands. Doug Smith Autoplex celebrated the grand opening of the new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram building in April 2013.
2003: Doug Smith Subaru
In 2003 Doug Smith opened a Subaru store also in American Fork, Utah. This store is Subaru’s exclusive Utah County home for Sales, Service, and Parts. It has also consistently earned the award as the highest rated Subaru dealership for Customer satisfaction in sales. The Doug Smith Subaru store was recognized by the Subaru Western Region’s Denver Zone for reaching an all-time Sales record for Subaru 5 consecutive years in a row.
2008: Doug Smith Kia
In 2008, Doug opened his third store in American Fork, Utah. Providing the exclusive home to Kia Sales, Parts, and Service in Utah County. The Doug Smith Kia store is Kia’s top performer in Utah for over 5 years in a row!
2015: Doug Smith Chevrolet
In 2015, New to the Doug Smith group, Doug purchased a Chevrolet Store in Spanish Fork, Utah. Located at 1341 North Main Street, just off of I-15 and Exit 257-A.
2015: Doug Smith Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Spanish Fork
Also in 2015, Doug opened a NEW Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram location in Spanish Fork, Utah. Located Right off of I-15 and Exit 257-A.
Over the years, the Doug Smith has grown to be one of the most recognizable dealership brands in Utah. Our familiar “Blue Plate Logo” has been seen on New and Used cars for over 35 years. We are proud to offer 5 Stores located both in American Fork and Spanish Fork, all locations just off I-15. Exit 278 in American fork, Utah, and Exit 257-A in Spanish Fork, Utah.
