What Happened to American Suzuki?

On November 5, 2012, American Suzuki Motor Corporation(ASMC) announced that they would be leaving the U.S. market for automotive sales. In a letter to U.S. Suzuki Automotive customers, Mr. Takashi Iwatsuki, Chairman of ASMC wrote:

“Consistent with our long history of standing by our products, Suzuki automobile owners will be protected. All warranties will continue to be fully honored, in according with their terms, and automobile parts and service will be provided to consumers through our planned continuation of a service and parts dealer network.”
